Since Governor Bullock and Commissioner Christian announced Complete College Montana in concert with CCA in 2013, the Montana University System has made dramatic progress regarding creating systemwide buy-in to a concerted effort around student success.  Montana has fully implemented Math Pathways and will have full implementation of corequisite design across the system by Fall 2018.  In addition, each of the thirteen campuses of the MUS have committed to scale CCA’s momentum pathways to improve college retention and completion.  Montana’s commitment to this goal will be critical for the future of the state as 25% of Montana’s 505,000 person workforce is expected to retire over the next decade. To mitigate this vast labor and skills shortage, more Montana high school graduates must matriculate into postsecondary education and exit with a postsecondary credential that is aligned with workforce needs.  Montana’s CCA efforts have been faculty led and administratively supported.
