Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Intermediaries for Scale Initiative

Complete College America has been selected by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to participate in the Intermediaries for Scale (IfS) Project which focuses on collaborating with institutional teams to create the required conditions to initiate and sustain transformational work to improve college completion outcomes for low-income students and students of color.

Participation in this project will facilitate further expansion of CCA’s Theory of Change to work with institutional leadership to identify structural barriers contributing to institutional gaps perpetuating inequity in student outcomes. As a national advocacy organization committed to scaling for change, the IfS Project provides an opportunity to expand CCA’s influence in game-changing enablers for improved equitable student outcomes across 2-year and 4-year institutions serving a variety of institution types.

Cohort Participants

CCA’s selection process will focus on identifying members in  Alliance states committed to participating in the Intermediaries for Scale (IfS) initiative.

Each Alliance cohort will have between 4-8 institutions. The cohort will work both individually and collaboratively to identify strategies to advance their student success work to achieve more equitable student outcomes.

Strategy selection will be informed by a combination of sources including, an examination of the institution’s data, results from the ITA, discussions during the campus sensemaking meeting, and incorporation of the institution’s current student success projects.
