The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE), in partnership its fifteen community colleges, nine state universities, and five University of Massachusetts campuses, are committed to producing the best-educated citizenry and workforce in the nation. We not only want our students to have access to high quality higher education, but graduate on time and have an economically viable career. Massachusetts institutions of public higher education are committed to increasing the college-going and completion rates for Massachusetts residents with a specific focus on under-represented, under-served, low-income, and first-generation to college students. In 2014, the DHE launched the “Big Three” Completion Plan, which revolves around the following goals: 1. Boost College Completion Rates 2. Close Achievement Gaps 3. Attract and Graduate More Students from Underserved Populations Massachusetts proudly joined Complete College America’s (CCA) Alliance of States in 2010 and has since then been dedicated to promoting and implementing the Game Changers across its institutions.
