For the past 10 years I have served as the Provost and CAO of Brooklyn College, prior to that I served for 5 years as the Acting Provost and Dean of Natural and Social Sciences of Lehman College of CUNY. A cell biologist by training (New York University), I spent 22 years in the joined Dept. of Biology of Manhattan College/College of Mount Saint Vincent, 14 as Chair. I have always been especially interested in STEM undergraduate research and have earned grants from HHMI, NIH, NSF, DoE and the PEW Foundation. For nearly 20 years I served as a health profession advisor guiding hundreds of students to entrance into medical, dental and other related professional schools.
