Stephanie Wilson has spent over a decade in service to elected and appointed government officials in Indiana. Much of that time, her work has been focused on helping advance student-focused education policy in K-12 and higher education.
Stephanie previously served as communications director for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, a post she left to become press secretary to Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb. She rejoined the Commission in September 2018 as associate commissioner for strategy and external affairs, leading a highly capable team to develop, communicate and execute the Commission’s strategic plan and supporting initiatives.
Prior to her time at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, Stephanie served under Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, former Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett and several state lawmakers in the Indiana House of Representatives.
Stephanie earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University — Purdue University Fort Wayne (Purdue University Fort Wayne) and will soon complete her masters in business administration from the IU Kelley School of Business. She is a former second grade teacher.
Stephanie lives in Speedway, Indiana with her husband, Mike, and father, Dan. She is a step-mom to two kind, smart boys who love science, storytelling and cheeseburgers.
