Dr. Stephanie Baird came to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education in 2022 to serve as the Associate Vice Chancellor for System Analysis and Reporting. In this capacity, she leads the System Analysis and Reporting (STAR) team in analyzing strategic initiatives, goals, and performance outcomes; designing research projects for accountability and policy development, and coordinating data exchanges with state and national organizations. Baird provides strategic oversight of the agency’s data warehouse, collaborating with all involved parties to ensure optimal functionality. In addition, she facilitates educational and economic development initiatives, collaborating with external partners and producing data visualizations and dashboards for informed decision-making with Oklahoma’s higher education landscape.

Prior to her time at OSRHE, Baird worked at Oklahoma Christian University in number of different roles, including the Graduate Programs Development Manager in 2010 and the Graduate Engineering Program Director in 2011. From 2014 to 2022, she served as the University Registrar, while also acting as the Associate Dean for Academics from 2018 to 2020. Baird also worked as the Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies, teaching in areas of business, communication, leadership, student success, and theater. She previously held leadership positions at Pepperdine University, Oklahoma City Community College, and Francis Tuttle Technology Center, and taught at Oklahoma City Community College and the University of Central Oklahoma.

Baird loves higher education and knew that she wanted to work in the field since her sophomore year of college. She also loves learning and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Oklahoma State University, an M.B.A. in Leadership and Organizational Development from Oklahoma Christian University, an M.Ed. in Higher Education from Iowa State University, and a B.A. in Theater Arts and Communication from Flagler College.
