Robert E. Anderson was appointed president of SHEEO on August 1, 2017. Previously, Dr. Anderson served as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Policy at the University System of Georgia. His division provided leadership for system-wide efforts to remove barriers to postsecondary attendance and completion. Prior to his appointment at the University System of Georgia, Anderson served as Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration at the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission in Charleston, West Virginia. He previously served as Vice Chancellor for Policy and Planning at the same agency, Director of Research and Planning for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission in Nashville, Tennessee, and as an administrator and instructor at Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina.
