Senior Director of Institutional Research Linda Heiss directs research and analytical studies that support informed decision-making, planning, policy, and accountability efforts on behalf of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). Heiss has worked closely with the Nevada Department of Education and Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation to implement the Nevada P-20 to Workforce Research Data System (NPWR). Heiss received her M.A. and completed her doctoral coursework at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she also received a Fulbright Scholarship to Germany to study their higher education system. Prior to her position at NSHE, Heiss coordinated international outreach efforts at the University of Nevada, Reno, including administration of U.S.A.I.D. grants to develop and host training programs for Eastern European groups on topics such as banking and finance and building democracy.
