Colonel Southcott is an Associate Dean in the Math & English Division at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His primary responsibility is leadership of the college’s College Preparation Program which includes supervising 24 full-time faculty and over 100 adjunct instructors in four academic departments Advancing Academic Achievement, College Composition and Reading, College Prep Math, and English as a Second Language. His additional responsibilities in support of the college and division mission and vision include budgeting, curriculum & instruction, and community & service. He is a member of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE) where he serves as the Administration Network Chair. He is also a member of the Colorado Association for Developmental Education (CoADE) where he serves as the treasurer. He is the President of the Board of Directors for the accredited alternative education campus Community Prep School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
