J. Andy Goodman is the Associate Provost for Professional Development and Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. In the CTL, Andy regularly consults with faculty and departments regarding teaching initiatives, assists faculty in designing mixed methods research proposals (frequently where reflection is a key assessment component), and oversees professional development on campus. In his faculty development role, Andy’s research focuses on obtaining and using data from end-of-semester student evaluations of teaching (SETs) – especially within the online environment. Andy has served in various positions at the university including graduate program coordinator, director of music education, and department chair. He has been in full-time faculty development for over ten years.
