Mr. J. Chris Perez learned at an early age from his mother, who was a middle and high school teacher on the island of Guam, that one key to a happy life is to enjoy the learning process and never stop learning. Mr. Perez took those words of wisdom to heart and has earned four degrees from Marquette University.

Currently the Director of Student Studies and Records, Mr. Perez assists students as they make their journey towards graduation. Mr. Perez advises students interested in studying abroad as well as those pursing the Global Engineering concentration and the Engineering Ethics and Values minor. Mr. Perez serves on various college and university committees such as the Opus College of Engineering Committee on Undergraduate Studies (CUS), the Committee on Academic Procedure (CAPS), the Transfer Advisory Group (TAG) and the University Staff Senate (USS).
