Economics educator and value investing enthusiast devoted to empowering students through industry-based learning. Track record in successfully launching, managing, and executing programs and partnerships at the community college and university level. Experienced in envisioning meaningful experiences for students and actively advocating to have them implemented. Passionate for student success and positive community impact.
In his current role as the UCLA Value Investing Manager, Humberto oversees all aspects of an undergraduate investment curriculum taught by the nation’s leading value investors. Additionally, he currently serves as a Community College Adjunct Professor and Education Advisory Fellow for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, providing feedback and best practices related to teaching about the Federal Reserve and the U.S. economy. In early 2017, his family handed down a construction business which he currently manages and operates.
He holds a community college transfer certificate from East Los Angeles College, a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Finance from CSU Long Beach, and an M.S. in Economics from Tufts University.
