I am an impatient reformer, focused on using my education and experience to support students to achieve their higher education goals. Presently, I consult with states and institutions implementing co-requisite instruction as a means to accelerate student completion of general education requirements. As the former dean for math and science at Community College of Denver, located in downtown Denver, Colorado, I supported the math team to move from heavy focus on developmental education to full scale co-requisite instruction and targeted pathways appropriate to their degree pursuits. The change in delivery modes allowed students to complete in a more timely fashion and develop math skills appropriate to their future careers.
