Forces For Change: Policy, Perspective & Practice
We believe higher education has a choice. We can choose to see problems differently, adopt new practices, and change policy, or we can sit back and let systemic challenges persist. We can either reflect the racial, social, and economic injustices of society—or we can be an engine of equity, prosperity, and hope.

As a brother of two wonderful sisters and loving parents, Benjamin loves spending time with his family. He recognizes how lucky he is to have been brought up with the necessary resources and support networks to live a healthy and productive life. This has instilled in Benjamin an appreciation for the fact that there are so many fundamental changes that need to occur in our society for it to be one that provides all people – regardless of socioeconomic background or race – with the resources and support networks necessary to live a meaningful and substantive life. Benjamin wants to devote his life to pursuits that harp on this larger goal, be it in the economic, legal, educational, or humanitarian realm. Benjamin is also a musician and loves to play the bass, piano, guitar, and sing. He loves all music, especially jazz.
