Amy Baldwin, Ed.D., is the chair of the Department of Student Transitions at the University of Central Arkansas. The Department of Student Transitions, whose mission is to serve conditionally admitted students, houses co-requisite developmental courses and a three-credit-hour college success course named Journeys to College Success. Before her move to UCA, she taught writing, literature, and student success at University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College, where she served as co-coordinator of Achieving the Dream initiative and the Foundations of Excellence (R) self-study; she also provided content expertise as part of the Development Education Initiative. From 2011-2013, she was the Arkansas project director for Complete College America. She speaks and writes extensively on student success topics and is the co-author of The College Experience series that is published by Pearson.
