Al Anderson serves as the Chief Information Officer at Salish Kootenai College (SKC), where his dedication has spanned over three decades. Beginning his journey as a Network Administrator, Al has steadily climbed the ranks to play a pivotal role in the institution’s growth. As a member of the President’s Leadership Team and a contributor to numerous college committees, he demonstrates his commitment to academic excellence and institutional development. Beyond SKC, Al extends his expertise as a Board Member for the Minority Serving Cyberinfrastructure Consortium and as Co-Chair of the Programs and Priorities Committee.

Al holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Science, credentials that underscore his deep technical acumen. His passion for technology transcends professional boundaries; he is a fervent maker with an extensive home lab and has been instrumental in establishing SKC’s Advanced Manufacturing Lab. Al’s enthusiasm for innovation is further evidenced by his licensure as a drone pilot and his foundational role in launching SKC’s academic drone program.

With a career that merges technical proficiency with visionary leadership, Al Anderson is not just shaping the future of SKC but also molding the landscape of educational technology and infrastructure.
