CCA Day on the Hill will facilitate personalized interactions between CCA Alliance members and their federal representatives while we advance CCA’s legislative agenda at the federal level. Together, we will directly engage in the federal legislative process and share best practices of what we have learned in states and regions that can be translated into federal policy. CCA Alliance members will bolster our efforts to make a lasting federal policy impact to support students seeking to complete college.

What is the CCA Day on the Hill?
This event will allow Alliance members to directly engage in the federal legislative process and share best practices of what you have learned in your states and local areas that can be translated into federal policy. As Congress looks to reauthorize the Higher Education Act next year, CCA Alliance members who participate in this opportunity will bolster our efforts to make a lasting federal policy impact to support students seeking to complete college.

What is Expected of Me if I Attend?
Alliance members will be responsible for booking their own travel and lodging in DC. Everyone should plan to arrive to DC by noon on Tuesday, May 16 to attend an in-person training for the Day on the Hill with CCA’s federal lobbyists, Arnold & Porter (A&P). A&P will set up all of your meetings while you are in DC and will provide a schedule for your Hill visits, which will take place between 8am-5pm on Wednesday, May 17.
