Andrew Howard studied Creative Writing throughout college, gaining an MA from Texas Tech University in 2007 and MFA from Georgia College & State University in 2010. Since then he has taught in a variety of places, including GED preparation in rural Georgia; Composition, Literature, and Creative Writing in Ohio; and is currently the Program Coordinator of English at University of the District of Columbia Community College. His fiction and non-fiction has appeared in places such as Miracle Monocle, Southwestern American Literature, Bluestem Magazine, Hobart, and McSweeney’s.

His signature achievements as Program Coordinator at include a corequisite redesign of the developmental writing program and a Guided Pathways revision of the Liberal Studies Program, which will go into effect in the Fall of 2018.
