As Associate Commissioner for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Susan P. Lee works closely with system provosts and vice presidents of academic affairs in Mississippi and across the nation to provide leadership for the development, interpretation, and implementation of system-wide academic policy and delivery of key operational services related to the Institutions of Higher Learning’s academic programs, academic program review, assessment of learning outcomes, instructional technology, student academic preparation, accreditation, and tenure in order to ensure the achievement of the system’s strategic goals and mission.

Prior to joining IHL, Susan worked at Delta State University as Director of Field Experiences, Coordinator of Technology for the College of Education, and Adjunct Professor for the Education Leadership Program. Other work experiences include serving as technology coordinator and teaching language arts, math, art, science & technology in the Indianola School District. She and her husband Joe have three children and nine grandchildren. As a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Susan serves as the church organist.
