Elizabeth McKay Freeburg is the Assistant Provost at University of South Dakota (USD). Freeburg’s role focuses on improving program quality and student success. She is responsible for curriculum development including publication of online catalogs, serving as curriculum liaison to the Board of Regents, serving as lead academic coordinator to a satellite campus, and serving as designee on academic student issues. Previously, Freeburg was the Director of Graduate Education, the Graduate Director for the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program, and faculty in Health Sciences. Freeburg received a B.S. from University of Notre Dame, M.A. and Ed.S. from USD, and a Ph.D. from USD, Sanford School of Medicine in Basic Biomedical Sciences.
