Cecilia Williams serves as the assistant director of communications in the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, where she directs external and executive communications to support and advance New Jersey’s strategic initiatives and investments in higher education. Prior to joining the state’s higher education team, Cecilia was press secretary and spokesperson to the New Jersey Assembly Speaker. As a public communicator and strategist, she is committed to building cross-sector networks and fostering dialogue to strengthen the connections between government and the communities it serves. She holds a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from the London School of Economics and her bachelor’s in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Growing up in Asia, first in Hong Kong and later in Abu Dhabi, she proudly calls New Jersey home.
