Greg DeSantis is the Vice President of Student Success and Academic Initiatives for the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system (CSCU), which includes seventeen two-year and four-year institutions. His primary focus is equity in education for the 85,000 CSCU students through strategic planning and policy leadership. In CSCU, Greg has chaired the Guided Pathways Task Force and has overseen partnerships with Achieving the Dream, the Charles A. Dana Center, Complete College America, Jobs for the Future, and many other national and local organizations. His work has directly led to transformative systemwide policies on mathematics, English, and ELL, holistic advising, admission and enrollment, student data and key performance indicators, financial aid, and numerous other topics that help ensure that all students are provided the resources and relationships necessary for high-quality learning, academic persistence, and degree completion. Greg is a member of the 2019-20 Aspen Institute Presidential Fellowship for Community College Excellence. He received his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration at New England College in 2019, with a research focus on state and national policy related to satisfactory academic progress. He has also served as a member of the Madison town Board of Education.
