Kaylen Betzig has served for approximately 32 years in the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). Currently, she serves as the President/CEO of Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) since 2014. Previously she served as the WCTC Executive Vice President and Vice President of Administrative Services since 2008. She is responsible for the overall operations of the college and is directed by the WCTC Board of Trustees. As President she provides direction to the Vice Presidents of Finance, Student Service, Learning, Human Resources, and Strategic Marketing and Institutional Effectiveness. The Director of Quality Improvement and Institutional Transformation also reports directly to her and provides facilitation of the President Executive Cabinet.
Prior to serving at WCTC, Kaylen served for 19 years at Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, Wisconsin in the roles of Vice President for Student Support Success Services, Institutional Research, Information Technology, Grant Development, Program Development, Marketing and Facilities. Ms. Betzig has her Bachelor’s from UW-Platteville, M.S.E.A. from UW-Madison and has 45 credits towards her Ph.D. Her areas of expertise include: strategic planning, accreditation, student assessment, resource allocation, and leadership development.
