Jackie is starting year three as a doctoral student at Grand Canyon University/General Psychology emphasis: Cognition and Instruction. She works as a professor at Community College of Denver (CCD) and Metro State University (MSU). As full-time faculty at CCD, Jackie is active in differentiated teaching; student attention and motivation, and delivers course content encouraging critical thinking. Further, relationships are critical between each student and the teacher so positive grade outcomes apply successful benefits. Outside the classroom, Jackie serves on college committees such as assessment, student learning committee, faculty council, and technology committee. Jackie is currently serving on the Prioritization Operations Group and is involved in a restructuring of CIS programs. Recently, Jackie received IC3 Certification and has has plans to certify in project management.
Jackie is a high-energy, driven faculty with a natural ability to connect with people; working in a highly diverse student population, connections are necessary. Jackie has been described as approachable while creating a comfortable environment.
On a personal note, Jackie enjoys spending time with family, her dogs, art, exercise, Colorado summers and laying on a beach – anywhere. .
