INDIANAPOLIS— At Complete College America’s (CCA) annual Fellows’ Retreat, held June 2 virtually, the latest cohort of CCA Fellows was announced. These Fellows represent the nations’ leading experts shaping the college completion movement, which now include:
- Michael Baston, President, Rockland Community College
- Lorenzo Esters, Chancellor, Indianapolis Campus of Ivy Tech Community College
- Vistasp Karbhari, Professor Department of Civil Engineering & Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Past President, University of Texas at Arlington
- Lenore Rodicio, Senior Fellow, The Aspen Institute, College Excellence Program
- Kijua Sanders-McMurtry, Vice President for Equity and Inclusion, Chief Diversity Officer Mount Holyoke College
- Tonjua Williams, President, St. Petersburg College
Fellows are a select group of leaders who have dedicated themselves to student success, embracing bold reform, and implementing CCA’s pillars of student success transformation. Fellows work closely with CCA, sharing their knowledge with the Alliance, and come together to confront and overcome higher education’s greatest challenges. The Fellows program convenes members regularly around the best ways to serve college students across the country.
“Welcoming our newest Fellows, who were recommended by CCA Alliance members, is an honor,” said Complete College America President Yolanda Watson Spiva. “We look forward to working with and learning from this group of experts and change makers who are known for closing institutional performance gaps for minoritized students and solving some of the most important higher education issues in our country.”
Since 2009, CCA has worked extensively with key partners who have championed and guided the work of the organization. The Fellows formalize these relationships, adding visibility to these partners’ work and ensuring positive advancement of the college completion movement.
