David Grow was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer at Western Governors University (WGU) in 2019. Grow, a 14-year veteran of WGU, leads teams focused on curricular services, including financial aid, marketing, regional and state operations, and alumni engagement, among other services. Mr. Grow has previously served as WGU’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration since 2005, contributing significantly to the university’s growth from a small startup to one of the largest universities in the nation. His leadership has emphasized affordability and student success, introducing initiatives like a flat-rate tuition model and responsible borrowing programs. Before joining WGU, Grow was the CFO at inContact and Spectrum Professional Services, Inc., and was named CFO of the Year by Utah Business Magazine in 2013.
