Cassie serves as a strategy director at Complete College America. To close institutional performance gaps, Cassie works on strategies that focus on restructuring systems and supporting learners. She has co-led the CCA Accelerator project since 2023, created Change Management resources for institutions, and led multiple other state-level projects to support institutional transformation.
Prior to joining CCA, Cassie served as the Associate Director for the Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence at the University of Iowa. In this role, she was responsible for implementing and scaling 360 coaching, led the transformation of a first-year experience program, and led institutional student success efforts. She has 15 years of experience advancing college completion through student success initiatives at multiple public universities.
In addition to her work on student success, she served as an adjunct instructor in Leadership Studies. She has expertise in proactive advising, first-year experience, career exploration, academic maps, 15-to-Finish/Stay on Track, 360 coaching, academic support, and TRIO programs.
