Amira Alexander serves as Grants and Contracts Manager at Complete College America, where she supports the effective administration of the organization’s grants, contracts, and funded initiatives. She helps coordinate critical processes, maintain strong documentation, and ensure grant- and contract-related activities remain organized, compliant, and aligned with organizational priorities, working across teams and with external partners to translate funding commitments into meaningful work.

Amira has spent nearly a decade finding her way toward the same question from many different directions: how do we make sure people have what they need to grow? That question first took root in her studies, a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences with a minor in Extension Education, and later a Master’s of Science in Youth, Family and Community Sciences, and it’s shown up ever since in classrooms, in community gardens and food systems work, in college access programs, and in the grants and contracts that quietly hold it all together behind the scenes. Along the way, she’s taught, organized, recruited, connected communities to resources, and helped build the administrative backbone that lets good work actually happen.

That path has given Amira a grounded, practical way of working. She brings genuine curiosity to every team and partner relationship, and she believes systems work best when they’re built with real people in mind. She’s committed to building things that last, strengthening the connections between people and the resources meant to support them, and helping Complete College America create lasting change for students and institutions nationwide.
