Complete College America Senior Vice President Bruce Vandal today congratulated the four recipients of Strong Start to Finish grants, three of which are members of the CCA Alliance. City University of New York (CUNY), the University System of Georgia, and the Ohio Department of Higher Education will receive a portion of the $8.5 million awarded to scale strategies designed to increase student success and achieve greater equity in higher education.
“We know for a fact that early momentum matters for student success and completion,” said Vandal. “We’ve worked closely with CUNY, Georgia, and Ohio to close achievement gaps and to help strengthen their on-going efforts to transform remediation. These Strong Start to Finish grants mark a powerful investment as we work to implement Corequisite Support at scale, help students make early decisions about programs of study, and ultimately start strong in their pursuit of a college degree.”
