Marc received his bachelor degree at the University of Oregon. Upon graduation got a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Marc has worked for the State of Maryland and State of Oregon in Health and Mental Health, was an assistant professor at the University of Oregon and adjunct faculty at institutions of higher education in L.A., Ann Arbor, Madison, Fort Wayne/Indianapolis Indiana, and Dayton Ohio. His professional career has spanned non-profit management, consulting and over 25 years with United Ways in Los Angeles, Sioux City Iowa, Fort Wayne, Dayton Ohio, and Portland Oregon. He currently serves as the Executive Director for the Questa Education Foundation.

His passion around social justice and economic equality focused much of his work beyond the traditional boundary of United Way into the areas of Positive Youth Development, Education, Diversity and Inclusion. In 2012 He and his wife choose to return to Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana where he now continues that work by joining the staff at the Questa Education Foundation. He is a strong advocate for continuing ones education as a gateway to being prepared for the 21st Century.
