Jay Perry is the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for the South Dakota Board of Regents, the governing board for South Dakota’s six public universities. His responsibilities include the development of new academic programs, developing and administering academic policies, and providing support to or leading various system-wide initiatives. Jay previously taught undergraduate U.S. and world history. From 1997-2009, he worked for a management consulting firm specializing in public sector clients. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Evansville, an M.A. in History from Indiana University (Indianapolis), and a Ph.D. in History from Bowling Green State University.
